Telescent is proud to announce that we have successfully completed our 3-year re-certification audit to maintain our ISO 9001:2015 certification. The Scope of Registration for our ISO 9001:2015 certificate is design, manufacturing, and servicing of software-defined network solutions and physical layer of data center, telecom, and lab networks. To maintain our ISO 9001 certification, we were independently assessed by IAPMO R&T against internationally recognized standards showing our commitment to quality and assurance. As discussed below, Telescent’s commitment to quality is demonstrated by the tools used in quality management, across the product realization function, and throughout the production process.
Telescent, which has been ISO:9001 certified since 2017, continues to improve our quality management system based on established and proven business and quality standards. While the ISO 9001:2015 standard provides a strong foundation for our quality management system we continue to develop and deploy internationally recognized and proven business and quality tools to enhance and improve our quality management system. Lean, Six Sigma and 8D problem solving are just a few of the methodologies utilized to ensure robust and rigorous tools are used to enhance our ISO 9001:2015 certification.
For product realization, Telescent employs a rigorous, phase-gate design and development process starting with conceptual design, design and development, critical design review, design verification testing (DVT), product qualification, and pre-production development and release.
During product realization and production planning, various tools are deployed to ensure repeatable and consistent manufacturing processes. Risk analysis tools such as but not limited to FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis) are used which facilitate mistake-proofing (Poke-yoke), tools, and fixtures to reduce variation, automated and deterministic test processes, data collection for SPC analytics and detailed instructions to reduce variation and ensure consistent results.
During design, development, and production planning we identify, select, and qualify proven and reliable manufacturing partners and suppliers. With a robust qualification process, we leverage the knowledge and expertise of our supply base to improve our products while ensuring cost-effective solutions. Our primary manufacturing partner Flextronics is a known, world-class manufacturing organization with a proven track record for quality and delivery. Flextronics is ISO 9001:2015 certified and consistent with Telescent’s business and quality practices, deploys similar world-class methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Overall, we utilize a rigorous evaluation process that enables us to continuously improve all facets of our quality management system. Above all, as an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, Telescent maintains the requirements, specifications, guidelines, and characteristics set forth by the ISO standard. Further, we ensure that we are consistently developing hardware and software that meet world-class standards. Additionally, the ISO certification also means that the products we provide are safe, reliable, and exceed international standards.
